Welcome

How to Pray Section

As salamu 'alaikum,

Welcome to our How to Pray section. If you are new to Islam and are learning how to pray we recommend you start with the Significance of Prayer article then visit The Prescribed Prayer Made Simple by Tajuddin B. Shu'aib followed by the Photos of How to Make Wuduu/ Ablution.

Within the section you'll also find Surah Al-Fatiha in English and Arabic along with the transliteration to assist with pronunciation. We have added a few more of the short surahs (chapters of the Qur'an) in a similar format to assist new Muslims.

We have included optional pop-up photographs depicting the different postures during prayer with the article The Prophet's Manner Of Performing Prayers by Shaikh Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz. This article is a good refresher article for all Muslims. For those of you wishing to study prayer in more detail we recommend The Prophet's Prayer Described by Muhammad Naasir ad-Deen al-Albaani translated into English by Usama bin Suhaib Hasan which is an exhaustive description of the actions that make up the Salah.
